Transparent Pricing & Driver Safety Regulations of the charter bus transportations
At Expresslane, our pricing is straightforward and based on several factors: driven kilometers, the driver’s working hours, the size of the vehicle, and the standard Finnish passenger transportation VAT of 10%.
To guarantee safety and high-quality service, we strictly adhere to the collective labor agreement (TES) established by the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT). This agreement determines our drivers’ fair compensation, continuous training, and maximum daily working and driving hours.
For you, the customer, the most important detail to note is that a driver can work a maximum of 14 hours per day. This is good to keep in mind when planning a travel program for your group. However, you never have to worry about calculating mandatory breaks or maximum hours yourself; our team ensures all regulations are seamlessly integrated into your schedule behind the scenes. We are always happy to assist with route planning and will gladly answer any questions you have regarding driving hours or union regulations.
The AKT collective agreement is updated regularly to ensure safe working conditions and optimal training levels for all our staff, which translates directly into a safer, more reliable ride for you.

Value Added Tax (VAT) Information
As Finland is an EU member state, all services provided here include VAT. For passenger transportation services occurring within Finland, the VAT rate is 10%.
Please note that under EU tax regulations regarding passenger transport, this tax applies to all customers, including citizens of countries outside the EU. Because the service is carried out and consumed locally inside Finland, standard tax-free exportation rules do not apply to charter transfers.
